Founded in 2003, Complete Payroll Solutions is one of the fastest growing payroll and employee benefit companies in the country, serving the needs of thousands of clients in the New England marketplace. Privately held and locally owned, CPS offers customized solutions that efficiently integrate payroll, employee benefits, and human resources.
Principals of CPS
CEO John Pettengill and Managing Partner Joe Agnello have worked together for nearly 20 years building successful payroll and employee benefits businesses. Previously, they were senior managers at one of the largest payroll companies in the U.S. A unique opportunity presented itself in 2003, when the company was sold for nearly $200 million to a national payroll provider. John and Joe, free to pursue their own aspirations, duly assembled the best sales, operational, and employee benefit talent at their former company and launched Complete Payroll Solutions. Though CPS is seven years old, many of our staff have been working closely together for decades. Today, CPS has over fifty employees with hundreds of years of relevant experience across all payroll, benefit and HR disciplines - a team unmatched in terms of expertise and customer service.
How are we different?
John and Joe witnessed firsthand the problems associated with operating large institutional payroll companies - high customer turnover, high employee turnover, and high prices. CPS has totally changed these trends with revolutionary compensation, customer service, and pricing strategies aimed at attracting and retaining clients and employees for the long term.
