At Complete Payroll Solutions, we place the highest level of importance on the security of your critical payroll data. As a result, we have chosen to use a payroll software system which we believe to be the most secure and reliable application available today.
One of the key advantages of the CPS platform over traditional payroll applications is how the data is transmitted from the client to the payroll service and back again. Most payroll applications transmit entire payroll databases between the customer site and the service site, often using FTP technology to exchange the data. This is an inherently insecure method of exchanging data and can leave critical customer information vulnerable to unauthorized access.
The CPS remote user application uses a proprietary thin-client technology to transmit data between your location and our servers. With the thin-client application, changes to your data are passed in real-time, and that data is encrypted and compressed at our remote site before being passed over the internet directly to Complete Payroll Solutions payroll servers. In addition, we employ SSL (secure sockets layer) technology which uses secure servers, digital certificates and encryption to create a secure 'tunnel' along which your information travels. SSL has been widely adopted as the security standard for industries involved in e-commerce and other activities where security is paramount.
